Legal information
Privacy policy
This policy explains how personal data is handled when you visit TSJ Music or contact the operator. It describes the website’s current features.
Data controller
The controller responsible for processing personal data in connection with this website is:
Thomas Sebastian JensenBleichstr. 47

Website access and server logs
When you request a page, your browser transmits technical data to the server providing the website. The hosting provider may record this information in server logs. Depending on the hosting configuration, this can include:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Requested page or file and HTTP status
- Browser type/version and operating system
- Referrer URL, if transmitted by your browser
This processing serves to deliver the requested pages, maintain security and availability, and investigate technical faults or misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, reflecting the legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website. Recipients may include the hosting provider entrusted with delivering the site.
Technical data is retained only for as long as needed for delivery, security and error analysis, unless statutory obligations or the investigation of a specific incident require longer retention. The relevant criteria are the operational purpose, the need to investigate an incident and any applicable retention obligations.
Contact by email
If you email us, we process your email address, the message and any information you choose to include in order to respond and handle follow-up questions. The email providers involved in transmission and delivery may also process the message.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, reflecting the legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Where an enquiry concerns a contract or steps requested before entering a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies instead.
Messages are deleted when the enquiry has been resolved and the data is no longer needed, subject to statutory retention obligations or the need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You are not required to contact us, but we need a reply address to answer an email enquiry.
Theme preference and local storage
When you choose Light, System or Dark, the website saves that preference in your browser’s localStorage under the key “tsj-music-theme”. It is read on later visits so your chosen appearance can be restored. System mode also reads your device’s colour-scheme preference.
The stored value is only “light”, “system” or “dark”. It is not sent to us and is not used for tracking. It remains until you change it or clear the website’s browser data. If browser storage is blocked, switching still works on the current page.
Storage is used to provide the appearance you explicitly request, on the basis of § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. If personal data is processed in this context, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and the legitimate interest in providing your selected display setting.
Cookies, external services and links
The website itself sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising trackers, third-party embeds or remotely loaded fonts. It has no contact form, user account or music player. Apart from the theme preference described above, it does not store visitor preferences in the browser.
Links to the other TSJ sites and other external pages are ordinary links. Opening one takes you to the respective provider, whose privacy information then applies. No external player or tracking service is loaded simply by displaying those links.
Secure transmission
An address beginning with “https://” indicates that the connection between your browser and the website is encrypted using TLS. Encryption protects data in transit; it does not make email or internet communication completely risk-free.
Your data protection rights
Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have rights of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent for the future without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (Article 21 GDPR). Please contact the controller using the details above to exercise your rights.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement. For the operator’s location, you can contact the data protection authority of Baden-Württemberg.
TSJ Music does not use automated decision-making or profiling.
